Every term features exciting investigations, data collection, laboratory activities, conservation projects, and opportunities to learn from guest speakers. Each term is built around a unique theme, with different topics and activities designed to explore the subject from a variety of perspectives. The programme follows a three-year rotation, allowing returning students to experience something new each year. Past themes have included Forests Above and Below the Water, Micro and Macro, Environmental Stewardship, and Ocean Challenges. During our Ocean Challenges term, students investigated plastic pollution through quantitative beach surveys, created artwork from marine debris, conducted plastic tows and sorting exercises, participated in fish dissections, learned about lionfish management, and even joined a snorkelling expedition aboard Endurance. Whenever conditions allow, we love getting students out on the water and into the field!
