We love welcoming school and educational groups to BAMZ!

There are several ways to plan your visit, depending on whether
you’re a local Bermudian group or visiting from overseas.

Self-Guided Tours for Local Schools and Camps

Bermudian schools and holiday/summer camp groups can explore BAMZ for free on a self-guided visit. We do our best to accommodate all groups, but those without a booking may not be admitted if we have reached capacity.

For Self-Guided School Group Tours reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling the BAMZ front desk at (441) 293-2727 ext. 2111.

Helping Us Create a Safe and Enjoyable Visit

To ensure everyone has a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience, we ask school groups to follow these guidelines:

Provide adequate supervision:
- Preschool groups: two adults for every 10 children
- Primary, middle, and secondary groups: one adult for every 10 students
Divide students into smaller groups whenever possible, especially if your class has more than 10 students.
Ensure children under 12 remain with an adult at all times.
Encourage students to walk, use indoor voices, and treat animals, exhibits, and other visitors with respect.

Important Site Policies

To help protect our animals and natural environment, please note:

Balloons and drinking straws are not permitted on site, as they can pose a risk to marine life.
Feeding or teasing animals is not allowed, except at designated peafowl feeding stations.
Please avoid touching aquarium glass and acrylic exhibit panels.
To help keep exhibits comfortable and accessible for all visitors, please avoid gathering for extended periods in indoor spaces such as the Tale of Two Islands Exhibit and the Natural History Museum.

Educational Excursions and Tours for Overseas Groups

For schools and educational organisations visiting from outside Bermuda, BZS offers customised excursions and behind-the-scenes experiences. Your group take part in hands-on classes, conservation activities, or tailored programmes connected to our current projects. These may include half-day or full-day boat trips aboard Callista to Trunk Island and nearby sites, or aboard Endurance to explore further offshore locations, including North Rock.
