A ceiling at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo fell in yesterday due to recent heavy rain.

The area of internal ceiling — around the cylindrical tank at the popular Flatts attraction — partially collapsed after rainfall seeped through the roof.

No one was injured and the exhibit and fish were also unharmed.

Staff removed the rest of the false ceiling and a small area in the Aquarium Hall will remain cordoned off while repairs are made, although the exhibit will continue to be open.
