Historically abundant predatory fish such as groupers and snappers remain at critically low numbers on Bermuda’s reefs based on international standards, according to a recently released report that monitored their status and trends by Bermudian scientist Dr Thaddeus Murdoch and his local team of research associates through the Bermuda Reef Ecosystem Assessment and Mapping [BREAM] Programme.

Tour de Turtles Bermuda wins Best Interactive Experience in the 2012 TECHAWARDS!
Last night Bermuda Turtle Project Coordinator Mark Outerbridge collected the award on behalf of the Sea Turtle Conservancy, ACP, BZS and DCS.
Technology Innovative Awards (TECHAWARDS) recognizes inspiring local individuals and companies and celebrates their achievements. The process of selecting candidates relies on the public to submit nominations for whom they feel best displays creative uses and commitment to technology in our everyday lives and there were more than 100 candidates in the various categories.
The nomination attests to the work that Tour de Turtles is doing in the community.
I would like to thank RenaissanceRe for their support of Tour de Turtles and David’s marketing team who created the marketing plan and maintained the website for this event. Congratulations to all involved!
