The legendary Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo announces the debut of its renovated Aquarium Hall and its new retail shop, Scales and Tales. A cocktail hour and an official opening ceremony, showcasing the new setting to invited guests, was held on Thursday, 9th June. The Hon. N. H. Cole Simons, JP, MP, Minister of Environment, was on hand to cut the ribbon and declare the Aquarium Hall, front entrance and shop officially open.

TUESDAY, APRIL 17: RUBIS has gifted a year’s worth of diesel boat fuel to the Bermuda Zoological Society, it was announced today.
The fuel will allow school children to learn more about marine life for another year.
This is the second year RUBIS has donated fuel to operate Endurance, the environmental education vessel owned and operated by the support charity for Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.

David Rose, general manager of RUBIS Energy Bermuda said: “On behalf of RUBIS Energy Bermuda, I am very pleased to confirm the extension of our donation of fuel for the conservation outreach vessel Endurance for another year.
“RUBIS is happy to be in a position to assist the Bermuda Zoological Society’s education programme as it is a fantastic opportunity for schoolchildren to learn about the importance of Bermuda’s marine environment.”
The 45-foot boats takes students of all ages in summer camps, class field trips and after school outings to various marine parks, snorkeling, whale watching and more.
Ian Walker, principal curator of BAMZ said: “Bermuda Zoological Society is extremely grateful to RUBIS for enabling us to continue getting students immersed in the natural environment.”
