Rubis Energy Bermuda is celebrating its tenth anniversary with the “Fuelling 4 a Cause” charity promotion.
From tomorrow until Wednesday, November 9, Rubis will donate 5 cents per gallon of fuel sold at its service stations to 12 good causes chosen by its judging panel.
Customers can also vote online for their favourite among the charities, which will all feature in a 2017 calendar.
At the end of the promotion, each organisation will receive a donation of at least $1,000, with the remaining balance being split among the charities according to how many votes they received.
The 12 charities are: Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo, Bermuda Diabetes Association, Bermuda Olympic Association, Bermuda Red Cross, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Coalition for the Protection of Children, Duke of Edinburgh, SCARS, Spirit of Bermuda, St John’s Ambulance, Warwick Academy Foundation and Windreach.
A further 12 organisations will be allowed to hold a tag day at a Rubis station next year.
