Community groups have arranged a family-friendly event to launch Cup Match week.

People will be able to learn about the ocean and Bermudian heritage at the Bermuda Adventure at the Aquarium on Monday.

It will include free access to the marine side of the campus, a scavenger hunt, boat ride around Harrington Sound, games and food.

It is being organised by groups including Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo, Crossroads Football, Flatts Recreation, Imagine Bermuda, Somersfield Academy and St Patrick’s Church.

A spokesman said: “The goal is to leverage this season of recreation, promoting renewal — body, mind and spirit — for personal benefit and that of the entire community.”

It will take place from 6pm to 8pm.

Another Bermuda Adventure will take place at Auto Solutions on August 9, from 5pm to 6.30pm, when people can explore the changing world of vehicles in the 21st century.
