Bernews
Sunday, July 29, 2018

A free event titled ‘Bermuda Adventure @ The Aquarium’ is set to be held tomorrow [July 30] from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, with attendees able to “learn a little about our ocean, our heritage, and ourselves, and have a bit of fun.”

A spokesperson said, “Residents from across the island are invited to join ‘Bermuda Adventure @ The Aquarium’ on Monday, July 30 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. There will be free admission to this unique event, offering an appropriate, family-friendly launch to Cup Match Week. The evening is geared to learn a little about our ocean, our heritage, and ourselves, and have a bit of fun.

“Reps from various community organizations, including BAMZ, Crossroads Football, Flatts Recreation, Imagine Bermuda, Somersfield Academy and St Patrick’s Church are collaborating in the production of this innovative gathering.

“Those attending will have the pleasure of free access of the marine- side of this renowned campus, as well as a scavenger hunt, boat ride around the Sound, and a variety of other interactive opportunities. These will include a choice of games in which the goal is fun rather than winning.

“In the week leading up to the celebration of Emancipation, there will be a limited supply of free pizza supplied by the MEF Group, available to attendees, as well as reasonably priced food from young local chefs.

“Bermuda Adventure – Summer 2018 is the result of a collaboration of 16 organizations -both government and non-government. The goal is to leverage this season of recreation: promoting renewal – body, mind and spirit- for personal benefit and that of the entire community.

“The first ‘Bermuda Adventure’ of next month will be at Auto Solutions on St. John’s Road, on Thursday, August 9 from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. The goal on that day is for young and old to explore the changing world of vehicles in the 21st century.”
