Daisy — the loggerhead turtle that has been residing at the Bermuda Museum, Aquarium & Zoo since she underwent life-saving surgery to remove a rusting hook in her throat three months ago — has had her stitches removed and it is hoped she can be released back into the wild in late spring/early summer.

Santa Claus will be on hand to visit with children at the Bermuda Zoological Society [BZS] on Saturday, December 6, 2014, with the fun getting underway at 10.00am. A professional photographer will be available to take photos of kids meeting Santa.
The event flyer says, “Tickets are limited to 20 per half hour, starting from 10.00am, with the last slot at 1:30pm. A professional photographer will be on hand to take an electronic keepsake photo for only $10. Book your visit with Santa soon.”
